COME AND VISIT US

Episcopal Place provides affordable housing and independent living for seniors and adults with disabilities.  Our unique partnership between HUD and the Episcopal Foundation provides 141 well appointed apartments in Birmingham's beautiful Highland Park neighborhood.  Residents must meet all HUD requirements.  Episcopal Place offers housing on an equal opportunity basis and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, familial status, national origin, or disability, or any other protected class including sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status.  We maintain a waiting list of 18-24 months.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING

Our monthly rental rates are based on income and include utilities.  Most residents pay $200 - $600 monthly, depending on their income.

Our free supportive services make it possible for EP residents to live independently.

EPISCOPAL PLACE LIFE

EP residents enjoy an active life with daily activities and events, morning exercise, socials, and weekly faith-based services.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR
INDEPENDENT LIVING
INDEPENDENT
LIVING

Assisted Living facilities can be very expensive and are not covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or any other government program.  Our residents can live healthy and independent lives because of Episcopal Place and our ECares Program.

INCOME BASED
RENT

Rent at Episcopal Place is 30% of adjusted monthly income, per HUD policy.  Most residents pay $200 to $600, depending on their income.  Rent includes utilities, and medical alert buttons, as well as free supportive services offered through our ECares Program.

SUPPORTIVE
SERVICES

Free Supportive Services are made possible by the Episcopal Foundation and our annual fundraiser, "Gumbo Gala".  Visit our Supportive Services Page for a complete list of available services.
